Hi, I’m Jason, the filmmaker behind Olive & Rye Creative.
For seventeen years, I worked in Hollywood crafting movie trailers alongside top filmmakers, learning how to shape emotion, rhythm, and story by identifying the moments that truly matter.
Since 2018, I’ve brought that experience to wedding filmmaking, creating intimate, atmospheric documentaries rooted in real feeling. A video captures the day, but an Olive & Rye film captures the poetic feeling of it.
Each film is carefully shaped through editing, color, and sound design to honor the raw, genuine emotions of your wedding day.
I love ending a film with a bit of wisdom from a loved one to leave you feeling inspired after every viewing.
My wife, Erica, and I started Olive & Rye in 2018, wanting a name that represented family at the core. We looked straight to our two greatest inspirations and toughest critics: Olivia and Riley. Erica is the heart, always behind the scenes, managing the details to keep everything running.
