Hi, I’m Jason! Along with my wife, Erica, I run Olive & Rye Creative, a boutique media studio we launched in 2018. The name is inspired by our kids, Olivia and Riley.
Our studio grew out of a genuine love for storytelling and a simple desire to create films in a space filled with joy for good, down-to-earth people. Over my 17 years in filmmaking and editing movie trailers, I’ve learned that the most powerful stories aren't just seen; they're felt.
I lean into telling a poetic, artful story by weaving the spoken words of the people who matter the most to you with beautiful, candid visuals that honor the raw emotion of your day. During filming, I strive to be a quiet, calming presence. When it’s time for portraits, I like to keep things light, candid, and fun, to capture all that joyful excitement of getting married.
My favorite part is ending your film with a soulful bit of wisdom or a "send-off" from a loved one—a little piece of heart to inspire you every single time you watch your film.

Established in 2018, Olive & Rye Creative is a boutique media studio specializing in wedding films and post production.. Our journey began in Los Angeles, while my wife, Erica, was working as a wedding hairstylist and I was editing movie trailers for film studios. During a routine appointment, a bride shared her wedding film with Erica and a spark was lit. As the co-founder and essential heartbeat behind the scenes at Olive and Rye, Erica ensures everything runs seamlessly. When she isn’t managing the business, she is running her own boutique salon, Erica Stoy Hair—and yes, she proudly styles hair for weddings, too!
